Welcome to Pan Pac.. Orchard! heh yes, was invited to do a food tasting at Pan Pacific Orchard, which was located just behind Palais Renaissance. It’s a short walk away so it’s okay. It’s just that I believe like most of us, we wouldn’t have heard of Pan Pac Orchard that frequently as compared to the one at Suntec/Marina Square. Nevertheless, this buffet spread they are pushing out is a totally new concept for friends who are looking for a nice & quiet time to chill in town. Okays, enough said. Peektures ahead!
The buffet is located at the lounge rather than 10 @ Claymore
Honestly, their spread is not very extensive but hey, not like we have the stomach to devour everything for a tea time spread right? :p
Cheese Platter
Smoked Salmon Mousse
Sea Urchin w Mango Salsa
haha honestly, I cannot really taste the sea urchin =x
Crab Rillettes w Orange Basket
Wagyu Thai Papaya
This was my fav out of all the tapas. I felt there was enough oomph in the salad that makes everything goes well together
Smoked Salmon for salmon lovers. This is pretty pretty good
Tamago Mayo on Charcoal Bun
I find this really interesting cos I have never tried something like this before. lol
And on to the desserts selection
Chestnut Tart
Cappuccino Layer Cake
Vanilla Supreme
Chocolate Fudge Cake
Spanish-Bred Iberian-Cured Ham (Only available on weekends)
I’m not a very big fan of such delicacies. I know I’m missing out. haha so I can’t tell you if they are good or bad. Well, they are salty… (if that helps. lol
)
Swiss Cottage Melting Raclette (Only available on weekends)
This was surprisingly pretty good. I like how they go with the vegetables & crackers
And then we also have the ala carte menu which includes the following which is free flow and yours to order as much as you like
Peddler’s char kway teow
Award winning and one of the six and only Asian chef to win Omni Hotels and Resorts’ Simply Street Food Competition. The taste is pretty good. I wouldn’t say it’s comparable to the one I had in Penang but honestly, it’s probably one of the best penang char kway teow you can get around here.
I’m VERY SAD I didn’t manage to try the other 2 cos I was rushing off but if you want to read more about it, you can hop over to Myfoodsirens whom I met at the food tasting as well
Selection of the buffet changes so if you read reviews on different food items, yeah pretty explains why. The gourmet high tea buffet is priced at $28++ on Weekdays and $38++ on Weekends. Would I go back again? Yeah, cos I want to savour the other dishes I missed out and I missed the char kway teow already. haha
Thanks Abigail & Pan Pacific for the invite!
